In my part of the world we say you are a fool if your passion for a pursuit overcomes all practical sense. I am a stitching fool, and I stitch foolishness.

Where, oh where has my mojo gone . . .

Oh where, oh where could it be?

It isn't in my corner of the living room.

It isn't in the stash room.

It isn't anywhere in the nooks and crannies where needlework is squirreled away in this house.

I'm going to try to sit quietly and see if I can catch a glimpse of it and entice it back.

Or set a bear trap for it.

(Apparently I am not alone. Over on the site where those of us involved in the Cabinet of Curiosities class hang out, several people have been suffering from severe loss of mojo. Could it possibly be contagious? Whatever is causing it, I wish it would stop. Or someone would develop an inoculation.)

  1. Apparently it just happens--but is rampant. Coincidentally I just wrote a blog for November publication (NaBloPo month) about this very topic as it is affecting me personally. I wish there were a dance we could do like the Hokey Pokey where we could "shake it" all away. You think?

    1. Two comments on your comment--you're already doing entries for November? WOW!

      And . . .I just had a scary mental image of a mojo dance . . .

    2. For the last two years I've participated in the daily blog posting known as NaBloPo and I have learned that it helps to jot down possible topics throughout the year as I think of them. Blogger lets you schedule the posts ahead of time as drafts. I always worry that November will arrive and I won't have anything to talk about that might interest others.

  4. It does come back. Sometimes we just need a break. Read a good book, browse NP Now's old issues, rearrange your stash. It will return with a vengeance!
