In my part of the world we say you are a fool if your passion for a pursuit overcomes all practical sense. I am a stitching fool, and I stitch foolishness.

First Pretty Flower

I'm thinking this is a camellia.

Whatever it is, it's a very pretty flower, and the first piece of the Garden Variety Long Pocket prework that I need to accomplish before I go back to Salty Yarns to take a class from Sherri Jones.

There is a border that goes around the flower, but it involves a stitch that I don't recall working before. I believe I should do that after a good night's sleep, rather than at the end of a very long day.

So I am heading to bed soon. I plan to stitch as long as my eyes and hands hold out tomorrow--it will be interesting to see how much I can get done if I really focus.

And can manage to stay off the innerwebs.

  1. Your flower is lovely! I am signed up for that class also; but haven't started the pre-stitching yet!
