In my part of the world we say you are a fool if your passion for a pursuit overcomes all practical sense. I am a stitching fool, and I stitch foolishness.

filling and fobbing

I got a couple of things accomplished while I was propping up my foot inside The Boot yesterday.

The flowers on the band are now filled in. I don't know why it was such drudgery to get them done, but I was beginning to think the gremlins were coming in during the night to remove what I had already stitched.

There was also some finish-finishing.

The fob for the Virgin Queen is assembled.

Nothing else is.

Yet.

We'll see how The Boot and I get along tonight.

  1. Oh, I like the flowers all filled in and the way the outer ones are paired and then the next ones in also. Virgin Queens fob came out beautifully - your cording is *perfect*.

  2. Your gremlins in the night removing stitches reminded me of a needlepoint class where I was explaining the different types of canvas. I told the story of Penelope. I guess I made it sound really good because one of my students wanted the title so she could buy it from the bookstore!
