And this is how I spent my time as I watched the New Year in:
I'm trying to stitch a band a week on Ann Scutt. This is the band for this week and the only one on the whole sampler that uses red thread.
I spent most of the day today getting myself ready to stitch in the new year. The Christmas decorations are put away and most of the living room is back to its non-Christmas configuration, which meant that I am feathering my nest with projects.
In looking over the projects I completely completed last year, there were a lot of smaller projects and not a lot of larger ones. I love my smalls, but I want to have more of the bigger pieces done this year, so those are the things I put in my basket to start out the new year.
And I decided to avoid making resolutions this year, knowing that they would last about as long as it took to list them. Instead, I'm making "mores."
- Move more.
- Eat more fruits and vegetables
- Stitch more.
- Blog more.
Goals some how are more fun than resolutions.
ReplyDeleteGood luck wih yours.
I am bracing myself to take our decorations down, the house always looks so bare a first.
Great progress Ann.
ReplyDeleteI want to finish some bigger projects too.
I like this band with the red.
ReplyDeleteI am leaving the Christmas decorations up for just a bit longer.
Your "mores" list is very good.
The sampler is coming along so nicely.
ReplyDeleteIt is a stunning piece and I love every part you have showed and are very fond of the yellow and blue section.
It is a good way of stitching something that large, to split up the sections abit.
I have also told myself I want to stitch some more larger pieces this year. In my mind I can see my walls covered in beautiful samplers:)
though I am a slow stitcher so we will see about that...
Hugs and have a lovely weekend,
