In my part of the world we say you are a fool if your passion for a pursuit overcomes all practical sense. I am a stitching fool, and I stitch foolishness.

Taking sides

I stitched the border down both sides of Sarah Ann Purdy yesterday.

I have a dreadful feeling that I am one stitch off on one side or the other.

At this point, I have determined the best course of action is to add or subtract a stitch to make it work somehow because I am absolutely not going to frog a border for one stitch.

And because the alternative is to have a bonfire.

  1. I think the error must be quite high up, since the right side looks higher than the left around the basket bottoms. I would check the level now and then add or subtract a stitch (or two) to make it level. It could be of course that you have followed the chart correctly and the error was Sarah's. Great work so far.

  2. I definitely wouldn't frog. She is too pretty for a bonfire.
