In my part of the world we say you are a fool if your passion for a pursuit overcomes all practical sense. I am a stitching fool, and I stitch foolishness.

the loooooooong, loooooooooooong week

I thought I was writing this on Friday.

I was just informed that it's Thursday.

One more work day this week.

For some reason, I've had problems with the work/life balance this week. Part of it has to do with the fact that my office phone is finally working reliably again, so I've spent some time catching up on voice mails. Then, it's been hard to take breaks or time away from the work laptop to eat lunch or stretch or do anything but work. It's easy to get focused and suddenly realize three hours have passed during which only eyes and fingers have moved.

Talk about posterior paralysis! And, actually, overall paralysis.

I'm going to work on that tomorrow. Maybe I should set a clock.

Anyway, that has cut into stitching time. I thought I was going to have this part of the bottom panel for the desk for Ode finished . . . well, I thought I was going to whip through it on Sunday, but got distracted and didn't get it done.  And then the work week started, and I've already bored you with that.

Anyway, here is where I am on Friday Thursday evening.

I am going to press the creases out and sew this to scroll bars and get started on the innards. And then I really, really have to start putting things together.

Thanks for posting this. I'm starting Work at Home today, so this is good reminder. I have a kitchen timer; I just set it for noon so I remember to break for lunch.
Your stitching is so pretty. Am looking for forward to seeing it all assembled, whenever you can get to that.
Happy Easter to you and hubby!
