In my part of the world we say you are a fool if your passion for a pursuit overcomes all practical sense. I am a stitching fool, and I stitch foolishness.

Best Laid Plans

I was planning to bake cookies tonight for a potluck on Saturday.

I even zoomed by the grocery store on the way home from work to pick up chocolate and butter.

Then I tripped on my own front steps and twisted the wonkier of the two wonky knees.

Consequently, my leg is propped up on the ottoman with my brace on and an ice pack, Dearly Beloved cooked dinner (and loaded the dishwasher!), and in a fairly short amount of time, I am going to take a pill and hobble off to bed.

However, there is some stitching to show--the other piece of the needlebook is outlined and ready for color.

Whether it gets color tonight or not is currently debatable.

  2. I hope it isn't serious. Unfortunately I'm still suffering with my knee more than six months after I fell. May you be up and moving well in morning!
